C02 murmur

Co2 project murmur

It was our project exhibition today.
I would think it went well and we didn't need to use the lights in the space, which was great just using natural light from the window and getting dark naturally. I think it was good to let the viewers focus on the film.

After editing the films, Christine went to the place and recorded
sounds there. When I saw the images changing and hear the audio together, I felt like I was in the place even I am in the c02 space, it was very comfortable space.

co2 project-5

We had meeting to discuss about our project title. We tried to talk how we felt when we were making the work each other. Because in some point, we worked separately (I took photos, she edited them) so we tried to find something common feeling. Then we found that the place we chose was a bit strange place it is calm and very quiet but also it was quite busy path. (people were passing through the paths than we expected)

I tried to find a word which has good meaning and bad meaning.
I am not very happy to decide the title in English because title is quite symbolic of the art work so I often confused to chose right phrases or words in English.

But it suddenly the word of 'murmur' came to my mind and fortunately she agreed with the title so we decided to use it.

-murmur-
*to say sty in a soft quiet voice that is difficult to hear or understand
*to make a quiet continuous sound
*(literary)to complain about sb/sth, but not openly
*a quiet expression of feeling
*a low continuous sound in the background
*(medical)a faint sound in the chest usually a sign damage or disease in the heart

CO2 project-4

I started to take photos at 27th and have done it for 5days.
Unfortunately? the weather wasn't very good some of days and the photos doesn't look good but I found that is quite normal in Edinburgh.

It took about 30 minutes for the shooting. The place seems to be quiet and empty street but there are always some people who pass there. Interestingly, most of people (probably tourists) try to take a photo of the Arthur's seat from there.

Through the 5days, I felt the place was very strange...I don't know the exact reason but I strongly felt these 5days were different. I didn't feel that way when I was doing the everyday photo project in the meadows.
